Let me introduce myself. I grew up in a small community called Sickles. I attended Lookeba-Sickles Schools and graduated from there in, well lets just say it was some time ago.
I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford after being in the workforce for 17 years.
I took my first teaching job here in Lindsay where I met my husband, Joe Thompson. Joe is a science teacher at Tuttle High School and a Lieutenant Colonel in the Medical Readiness Unit of the Oklahoma Air National Guard.
I have a daughter named Jennifer who is married to Jon Bakewell. I have one grandson, Jacob. They live in Piedmont and are all associated with Piedmont Schools.
I love teaching. I believe that every student has the ability to learn. You just have to find their strengths. My greatest moments are when a student says, "I get it!"
