Lindsay Patrons: As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we have worked hard to develop a plan that focuses on the health and safety of our students, teachers and staff. The Return to School plan is outlined on our school website with education options, new procedures and enhanced safety protocols that were designed to meet the unique needs of our students and their families. We will undoubtedly face challenges this school year. We will continue to put children first and make decisions we believe are in the best interest of our students, teachers and staff. And, if we continue to work collaboratively, speak with kindness, respect differing viewpoints and demonstrate civility and grace, we will get through this together. Please visit the school website to view the Return to School Plan for Lindsay Schools. www.lindsay.k12.ok.us Sincerely, Dan Chapman

We understand at the current time there is a tremendous amount of apprehension about the start of our school year. We are currently conducting teacher training and evaluating software packages for our students. As everyone is aware, we will be offering both traditional and virtual education. At the present time our Board of Education is recommending but not requiring masks to be worn by our students and staff. However, this decision can be altered by a mandate from the state of Oklahoma at any time. We are planning to release a complete educational plan on July 21st. Please be patient we are doing everything we can to make the most informed decisions. Sincerely, Dan Chapman

Lindsay School Patrons: On Monday, June 29th we had one of our student athletes test positive for Covid 19. The parents of the student were very up front and wanted to do everything possible to make sure our other students were not exposed. The student will self-quarantine for the next 14 days. After consulting with medical professionals we have decided to close all of our facilities until July 6th. We plan to continue our cleaning routines and the spray misting of our facilities to eliminate viruses. This will also allow time for Covid testing of our students if the parent/guardian chooses this route. The health and safety of our students is still and always will be our top priority. If you have further concerns give me a call at 405-756-3131. Sincerely, Dan Chapman

Lindsay School Patrons, At the present time the Lindsay School administration is promoting and hoping for a traditional school setting using the calendar that has been approved by the Board of Education. However, we have been proactive in purchasing advanced software packages that can be utilized to educate our students in a variety of settings. We will be prepared with special training already being scheduled. We are also preparing for all safety precautions that will need to be taken. The safety of our students is our top priority! The Class of 2020 graduation ceremony will be held on Burford Field at 10:00 a.m. on July 11th. The graduates will be seated in the home grandstands and all patrons are invited to bring lawn chairs and use the field, track, and visitor's bleachers to sit and enjoy the ceremony. We plan to place approximately 200 chairs out to accommodate some of our guests. Social distancing will be encouraged and masks will be available at the entrance for anybody interested. We anticipate a large crowd, but there will be plenty of room for all. Let's make this a special day for our graduates. Sincerely, Dan Chapman
