Lindsay School Patrons, At the present time the Lindsay School administration is promoting and hoping for a traditional school setting using the calendar that has been approved by the Board of Education. However, we have been proactive in purchasing advanced software packages that can be utilized to educate our students in a variety of settings. We will be prepared with special training already being scheduled. We are also preparing for all safety precautions that will need to be taken. The safety of our students is our top priority! The Class of 2020 graduation ceremony will be held on Burford Field at 10:00 a.m. on July 11th. The graduates will be seated in the home grandstands and all patrons are invited to bring lawn chairs and use the field, track, and visitor's bleachers to sit and enjoy the ceremony. We plan to place approximately 200 chairs out to accommodate some of our guests. Social distancing will be encouraged and masks will be available at the entrance for anybody interested. We anticipate a large crowd, but there will be plenty of room for all. Let's make this a special day for our graduates. Sincerely, Dan Chapman

Lindsay School Patrons, This morning the State Board of Education voted to close school buildings for the remainder of the year and resume the school year on April 6th with remote learning. The Board also recommended districts end the school year during the week of May 8th through May 15th. At this time the administration of Lindsay Schools is making plans to provide the best possible education for our students for the remainder of this school year. Each student will be contacted by their grade level principal concerning plans being developed. The success of a student will not be dependent on internet accessibility. We regret many school activities have been negatively affected. I realize many are concerned about future events, including graduation. We hope to be able to celebrate graduation on the scheduled date. We are monitoring the situation and will provide information as soon as we are able.

Although the State Department of Education is instructing districts not to offer instructional services through April 6, we would like to offer a collection of high-quality, interactive resources for your child during this transition. The resources can be found on our school website Coronavirus Information/Instructional Resources under the Explore Section. Again, these resources are optional. We are all in this together, and we all want what is best for our students.
